Himalayas

"The road less traveled, the tracks less followed"

From the beginning of civilizations sages and mystics have traveled to the mighty Himalayas to draw inspiration from perennially snow-clad peaks, magnificent remote valleys and gorges and life giving rivers for their meditation.

An area blessed with spectacular landscape. Bordered by the Karakoram chain of mountains to the north and the Himalayas in South, it is a land of barren rocks with Gonpas (monasteries) carved into the hillsides, and oasis like villages, turquoise colored lakes, and many high altitude flora and fauna. Ever since it was thrown open to the outside world in 1974, Ladakh has become an important tourist destination for the travelers from all walks of life- from the lovers of mountains; serious students of Buddhism and to travelers who simply wants to extend their horizons.
